
Dr. Walt Magaha
Pastor
Walt is husband to Tori and father to Tripp and Zoey.
He has served The Lord at Calvary since July 15, 2019.
As pastor, it is his joy to preach and teach God’s Word (1 Timothy 5:17; 2 Timothy 4:2), train up others to do the same (2 Timothy 2:2), equip and mobilize the church to do the works of ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12), provide spiritual protection from error in doctrine or practice (Titus 1:9), and to lead and oversee the life and ministries of our church family (1 Peter 5:2).
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication/Public Relations from University of West Florida, a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and
a Doctor of Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
He was ordained in August 2014 at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Pensacola, FL.
Walt was a contributor to the book, Pensacola’s West-side Story: A Call to the Church to Unite around the Gospel by Ron Lentine.

Rev. Jonathan De Jesus
Worship Pastor
Jonathan is husband to Karla and father to Michelle and John. He has served the Lord at Calvary Baptist Church since October 2019. As the Worship Leader/Music Minister, Jonathan believes that every day is a new day to worship our Lord with joy and gladness. (Psalms 118:24) “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalms 100:2-3) “Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His;” Jonathan is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Worship Ministry/Worship Arts from the Baptist College of Florida. He was ordained in July 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church in Pensacola, FL.
Jonathan has been a part of the Pensacola’s West side movement alongside Pastor Ron Lentine and Pastor Walt Magaha.

Youth Minister
Jobie is husband to Jamie and father to Mackenzie, Jillian, Andrew, and Carson. He has served the Lord at Calvary since July 2025. As Youth Minister, he guides and mentors youth to be disciples of Christ by fostering their spiritual growth and helping them navigate the challenges of being a teen. He graduated from The University of Mobile with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He served as Minister of Students and Recreation at East Hill Baptist Church in Pensacola. He has been a teacher in Escambia County Public Schools since 2011 and currently teaches at Beulah Elementary in a VE Multigrade classroom. He was ordained at East Hill Baptist Church in 2004.

Ciara Aceves
Children's Director
Ciara Aceves serves as the Children's Director at Calvary. She started serving in this role in May 2025. She is responsible for all things related to the children’s ministries.
She is married to William. They have two beautiful children Kahlani and Alasia.
She earned her Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Business and Management with a concentration in Organizational Administration at PSC.
She has been working with children in some capacity for the last 10 years including teaching and mentoring.
Some of my favorite Bible verses are Jeremiah 29:11 and Philippians 4:6.
Jeremiah 29:11 - "'For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.'"
Philippians 4:6 - "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."

Amanda Marsh
Administrative Assistant
Amanda Marsh serves as the Administrative Assistant at Calvary, where she began
working in May 2025. She is married to her husband, Matthew, and together they have
one child. In her role, Amanda plays a vital part in supporting the pastor, church staff,
and members by handling a wide range of administrative duties. From managing
attendance records to assisting with the church website and social media presence, she
helps ensure the day-to-day operations of Calvary run smoothly and effectively.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Amanda brings a strong sense of
discipline and dedication to everything she does. She is currently pursuing a degree in
radiography, with the goal of becoming an X-ray technician. Her commitment to both
ministry and professional growth is a reflection of her servant's heart and desire to make
a positive impact.
Isaiah 40:31: “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall
mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk,
and not faint.” This verse continues to inspire her daily walk of faith and service.
Matthew 6:34: “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each
day has enough trouble of its own.”
Philippians 4:4-7: “Always be happy because you belong to the Lord. I will say that
again, ‘Be Happy!’ Be kind and patient in a way that everyone can see. Remember that
the Lord is near. Do not worry about anything. Instead, pray to God about everything.

God will give you peace in your minds. That peace is so great that nobody can
