Calvary Kids

Kid's ministry isn't about babysitting your child while you connect to God through small groups and worship. It is about instilling in your child from an early age about the Bible and Jesus. We believe that the environment a child grows up in determines their future in a major way. We want to partner with you, the parent, to help you establish a family that keeps Christ at the center.

Calvary Students

The culture your students are growing up in is vastly different than the one you were raised in. Teenagers are confronted with sex, drugs, alcohol, difficult life decisions, abortion, homosexualtiy, and many other trying and difficult realities in today's society. Our pastoral team understands the challenges you face as a parent and your student faces as a teen. We would love to get them connected with our student ministry to teach them what the Bible says about many of these tough decisions that they have to face!

FAQS

About the only rule we have regarding what to wear is that clothes are required.  You will find people dressed in everything from a suit and tie, to shorts and sandals.

We have reserved parking for you as our guest in the lot directly in front of the building. Most of our members park out back to save the room for you…so please park out front.

Certainly! Our ministry to children begins even in the nursery and there is age-appropriate teaching for children of all ages. Check in with the Guest Services Team in the Foyer and they will assist you with registering your children and explaining our safety and security processes. During the 9 AM hour, there are “small groups” (like Sunday School) for children of all ages. During the 10:30 AM Service, in addition to childcare for younger children, there is also a special children’s worship service for K-5th grade. It is a full worship service…only for kids. They sing songs, do activities, and have a message specifically for them which is shared by one of our Children’s Department Leaders.

Of course…leaving your children with someone else on your first visit makes some people uncomfortable. We understand. Your children are always welcome to attend the main worship service with you.

Great question. As you enter the building from the front, the Children’s Ministry areas are to the hallway to your left. Don’t worry if you forget…we have volunteers with our “Guest Services” who will assist you and even accompany you to the area you need to go if you prefer. You can identify them because they are wearing a lanyard with a blue name-tag.

While we encourage you to have a copy of the Bible for yourself, we put all of the Scriptures that are referred to on the video screens in the Worship Center. If you need a Bible, let one of our guest services people (those folks with the really cool name-tags) know and we will provide one to you as a gift.

Our worship team uses a blend of contemporary praise and worship music, along with some of the great hymns of the faith. We like to describe the music as “blended”. However you would describe it, you will find it to be encouraging, upbeat, and relevant.

Usually about one hour and fifteen minutes. We begin each service with worship and prayer. Our corporate worship service runs from 10:30 to around 11:45am. If you need to leave early, you are certainly welcome to do so. Again…you will find us to be pretty relaxed.

No. And we don’t make you sit down while everyone else stands either. Our goal is not to bring any extra attention to you than you desire. You will find that before the service, someone may come by to introduce themselves. That’s it. We like to give you some “space” so you can move at your own pace as you get to know the folks around you. We would like for you to fill out the Connection Card (right-hand tear off of your Worship Program) so we can get to know you. It is also a great way to share prayer concerns with us so we can pray for you. If you are someone who loves face-to-face conversations, feel free to drop your connection card off at our guest services area located between the two double doors.
